About Denver

Denver

Denver is a major city in Colorado, and is home to Denver International Airport. The city itself is big, but there are several locations within a short distance from the city!

Mount Falcon Park

Mount Falcon is located about 30-40 minutes outside Denver and near Red Rocks Amphitheater. The park has two sections, one near the amphitheater and one up higher in the mountains. You can drive between the two sections in about 30 minutes. There are pavilions and shelters at the West entrance.

There is a permit fee for commercial photography.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheater is an iconic location for Colorado. The amphitheater itself is open to the public, and there are also a few trails around the area. However, the amphitheater is a popular fitness spot, so expect to see people working out and visiting at any time of day.

St. Mary's Glacier

There is a 2.4 out and back moderate trail that goes to this glacier (so about 1.2 miles each way). From what I've read, it can be a little chilly and windy at the lake year round because of the glacier, but the view looks awesome. This area seems to get snowy, so I would only recommend this location in the summer. Photo from AllTrails.
