Boulder Canyon is a cool spot because it follows Boulder Creek. This is a perfect spot if you want a forest/stream landscape. The fall colors are beautiful here.

Pets are permitted at Boulder Canyon but must be on a leash. It is likely that we will encounter other hikers and bikers.
Weather and Seasons
Boulder Canyon is open and accessible year-round. In the winter, the trail may have snow or ice.
Accessibility
Boulder Canyon is a short, easy walk to the trailhead. The area is pretty flat and very accessible.
Parking
There is a large parking area at the trailhead. Parking is free year-round.
Other Notes
- You won't really be able to see sunset or sunrise from this location because we're in a canyon. For this reason, we may need to meet earlier than we would for a sunset session.
- There are lots of cool areas along this trail, including rocks, creek, trees, and a bridge.
Reasons to love this location
- Boulder Canyon has a very different vibe than other locations in Boulder. You're in a canyon surrounded by rock walls.
- You have access to Boulder Creek and can even get in the water if you want!
- The fall colors can be really pretty here.
